Affordable Bangkok Package from Nairobi | 5 Days 4 Nights
Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Bangkok Menam Riverside or similar
Five days in Bangkok on a direct Kenya Airways flight from Nairobi, with your Thai e Visa, four nights by the Chao Phraya River, the Grand Palace and Wat Pho, a dinner cruise and an early morning at a floating market in one price.
Affordable Bangkok Package from Nairobi: five days and four nights in Thailand's capital with direct return economy flights on Kenya Airways from JKIA, checked baggage and your Thai e Visa fee all taken care of. You stay four nights with breakfast in a river view room at Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Bangkok Menam Riverside, a short walk from Asiatique The Riverfront, with private airport transfers on arrival and departure. Your days take in a guided morning at the Grand Palace, Wat Phra Kaew and Wat Pho, the river crossing to Wat Arun, a Chao Phraya dinner cruise and a half day at Damnoen Saduak Floating Market.
Kenyan passport holders need a Thai e Visa, a yellow fever certificate and the free Thailand Digital Arrival Card, and your planner walks you through all three. One price per person sharing covers the flights, hotel, transfers and every experience listed below, and one Baecation planner stays with you on WhatsApp from booking to landing home.
Bangkok is one of the few Asian cities you can reach without changing planes in Nairobi. You leave JKIA just before midnight, sleep most of the way and land in the early afternoon, so your first evening is already a Bangkok evening. Coming home works the same way: a night flight that lands at JKIA before most of Nairobi is at work.
We base you on the river on purpose. The temples, the dinner cruises and the river boats are all on the Chao Phraya, and the hotel's own shuttle boat takes you to Saphan Taksin, where the Skytrain carries you to the malls of Siam and the weekend market at Chatuchak without sitting in Bangkok's traffic. Asiatique The Riverfront, with its night market and riverside restaurants, is a few minutes' walk away.
The days are paced for two people on holiday. One guided morning among the temples, one evening on the water, one early start for the floating market, then a full day for shopping and a last day that ends at the weekend market. Your planner prepares your e Visa documents with you, checks your yellow fever cards before you pay and answers on WhatsApp if anything moves.

About Package
More information about this package
Your hotel: Four nights at Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Bangkok Menam Riverside, or a comparable hotel confirmed at booking, a large riverside hotel on Charoen Krung Road with an outdoor pool and a poolside bar. You stay in a room with a river view, with a buffet breakfast every morning.
On the river: The hotel runs its own shuttle boat to Sathorn Pier at Saphan Taksin, where you can step onto the Skytrain or the Chao Phraya Express boats. Asiatique The Riverfront is about an eight minute walk along the river.
Direct flights: Kenya Airways flies nonstop between JKIA and Bangkok Suvarnabhumi in about nine and a half hours on a Boeing 787. This trip follows the Monday night departure, which lands on Tuesday afternoon, and the flight home that leaves Bangkok at 1am on Sunday morning.
The temples: A guided morning takes you through the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew, home of the Emerald Buddha, then Wat Pho and its reclining Buddha, about 46 metres long, before the short ferry across the river to Wat Arun. Your entrance tickets for all three are included.
Dinner on the Chao Phraya: One evening you board a dinner cruise from River City Pier for a buffet of Thai and international dishes, a welcome drink, live music and a Thai classical dance show, with a car to take you there and bring you back.
The floating market: An early pickup takes you to Damnoen Saduak, about two hours from the city, where fruit, noodles and coconut ice cream are sold from boats along the canals. A long tail boat ride takes you into the market.
Your Thai e Visa: Kenyan passport holders need a visa for Thailand. You apply online at the official Thai e Visa website, and the KES 5,000 single entry tourist visa fee is included in your price. The embassy in Nairobi asks each of you for proof of employment or business ownership, a bank statement stamped by your bank showing at least 20,000 baht each over the past three months, your return flight booking and your hotel booking. It takes at least 15 working days, so apply at least one month before you fly but not more than three months before. Approval rests with the Thai authorities alone.
Yellow fever and arrival card: Thailand requires a yellow fever certificate from travellers arriving from Kenya, checked at the health counter before immigration. Every visitor also completes the free Thailand Digital Arrival Card online within the three days before landing. Your planner checks both with you before you fly.
Dress for the temples: Shoulders and knees must be covered at the Grand Palace and the temples, with no sleeveless tops, shorts or short skirts, and shoes come off inside the halls.
Travel cover: Bangkok is busy, open and welcoming to visitors. Late in the rainy season low lying streets can flood after heavy rain, so we watch the official advice and tell you straight away if it changes before you fly. We strongly recommend travel insurance with medical cover, as private hospitals in Bangkok are excellent but expensive.
One planner, start to finish: Your Baecation planner prepares your e Visa documents with you, sends your e tickets and vouchers before you fly and stays reachable on WhatsApp throughout. If something shifts on the ground, you message one person instead of four companies.
