Affordable Egypt Package from Nairobi | 6 Days 5 Nights
Barceló Cairo Pyramids and The Makadi Spa Hotel
Six days in Egypt from Nairobi: a direct EgyptAir flight, your Egypt visa fee and document pack, two nights in a pyramid view room in Giza, a private day at the pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum, a Nile dinner cruise, then three all inclusive nights by the Red Sea in Makadi Bay, in one price.
Affordable Egypt Package from Nairobi: six days and five nights with direct return economy flights between JKIA and Cairo on EgyptAir, domestic flights between Cairo and Hurghada and checked baggage on your fares. Kenyans need a visa from the Egyptian Embassy in Nairobi before flying. Your visa fee is included and your planner prepares the document pack with you. You start with two nights and breakfast in a Superior Pyramids View room at Barceló Cairo Pyramids in Giza, then fly to the Red Sea for three all inclusive nights at The Makadi Spa Hotel, an adults only resort in Makadi Bay. Every transfer is private.
In Cairo you spend a private day with an Egyptologist at the Giza Pyramids, the Sphinx and the Grand Egyptian Museum with your tickets included, then an evening on a Nile dinner cruise. By the Red Sea your meals and drinks are covered, so the beach days cost you nothing extra. You need a yellow fever certificate. Your planner walks you through it. One price per person sharing covers the flights, hotel, transfers and every experience listed below. One Baecation planner stays with you on WhatsApp from booking to landing home.
Egypt gives you two holidays in one trip. First the pyramids, the treasures of Tutankhamun and the lights of Cairo from the Nile. Then an hour's flight away, the turquoise water of the Red Sea and three days where the hardest choice is pool or beach.
We put Cairo first on purpose. The sightseeing happens while you are fresh, then the trip slows down by the sea. In Giza you stay at Barceló Cairo Pyramids on Al Haram Street, with a pyramid view from your room and a short drive to the museum. In Makadi Bay you stay at The Makadi Spa Hotel, a resort for adults only on Makadi Bay, south of Hurghada, with all your meals and drinks included.
The days are paced for two people on holiday. One big day of sightseeing in Cairo, one evening on the Nile and three days on the Red Sea with nothing booked unless you want it. Your last domestic flight is timed so you reach Cairo with hours to spare before your flight home.

About Package
More information about this package
Two nights in Giza: Your first two nights are at Barceló Cairo Pyramids or a comparable hotel confirmed at booking, in a Superior Pyramids View room of 32 square metres, with breakfast every morning.
At Barceló Cairo Pyramids: The hotel is a 4 star hotel with 236 rooms at 229 Al Haram Street, about 4 kilometres from the Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx. It has a heated outdoor pool overlooking the pyramids with the Osiris pool bar, three restaurants called Nefetari, Sphinx and Horus and a panoramic terrace on the twelfth floor. Check in is from 2pm and check out is at noon.
Three nights by the Red Sea: Your last three nights are at The Makadi Spa Hotel in Makadi Bay or a comparable resort confirmed at booking, in a Junior Suite of 46 square metres, all inclusive.
At The Makadi Spa Hotel: The resort is for adults only, aged 18 and over. It has its own private beach about a minute's walk from the rooms, two outdoor pools, a spa, restaurants and beach bars. Snorkelling is on offer and diving can be arranged at extra cost. Hurghada airport is about 45 minutes away by car.
All inclusive by the sea: At The Makadi Spa Hotel your meals, snacks and drinks are included in your price, with some limits on what each bar and restaurant serves. In Giza you have breakfast every morning and your dinner on the Nile cruise.
Direct flights and an hour to the sea: EgyptAir flies nonstop between JKIA and Cairo in about five hours, with checked baggage on your fare. You leave Nairobi early in the morning and land in Cairo mid morning. The domestic flights between Cairo and Hurghada take about an hour each way. The flight home leaves Cairo around midnight and lands at JKIA early the next morning. From late October to late April, Egypt is one hour behind Nairobi.
The pyramids and the museum: Your Egyptologist guide and private car collect you after breakfast. You walk the Giza Plateau around the Great Pyramid, the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure and the Sphinx, then drive to the Panorama Point viewpoint, where all three pyramids line up across the desert. In the afternoon you visit the Grand Egyptian Museum with its colossal statue of Ramses II and the treasures of Tutankhamun. Your plateau and museum tickets are included.
A Nile dinner cruise: That evening you are collected for a two hour dinner cruise on the Nile with a buffet, a belly dance show and a tanoura show, with hotel pickup and drop off.
Before you fly: Kenyans need a visa from the Egyptian Embassy in Nairobi before travelling. Your visa fee is included and your planner prepares the document pack, but each of you attends the embassy in person. Each of you also needs a passport valid for at least six months from the day you land, with at least one blank page. You also each need a yellow fever certificate, with the vaccine given at least 10 days before you fly. Carry your return tickets, domestic flight tickets, hotel vouchers and a bank card.
Full entry guide: Every entry rule, with the official links, is explained on our Egypt page at baecation.co.ke/egypt.
Touts and tipping: Men offering camel rides, guides or free gifts approach visitors on the plateau. A polite no and staying with your own guide is enough. Tipping is part of daily life in Egypt, so carry small Egyptian pound notes for drivers, guides, porters and waiters, even at an all inclusive resort.
Dress: Cover shoulders and knees in Cairo and at the sites. Swimwear is fine at the resort pools and beach, with a cover up for the restaurants and lobby.
Staying safe: Use your included transfers and tours, a hotel taxi or Uber in Cairo. Drink bottled water and cover up from the sun even in winter. Do not photograph police, military sites or government buildings. On the reef, wear reef shoes and follow the snorkel guide's instructions on currents.
Travel cover: Cairo, Giza and Hurghada lie outside every area the UK government advises against visiting in Egypt. The wider region has seen strikes and attacks since July, so flights can change at short notice. We book changeable fares where the airline offers them, recommend travel insurance that covers flight disruption and medical costs and tell you straight away if official advice changes before you fly.
One planner, start to finish: Your Baecation planner prepares your visa document pack, checks your file before you go to the embassy, sends your e tickets and vouchers before you fly and stays reachable on WhatsApp throughout. If a flight moves or a day needs to change, you message one person instead of five companies.
Package Itinerary
The package itinerary is as follows
Affordable Egypt Package Itinerary with Baecation Adventures from Nairobi
EgyptAir usually leaves JKIA at 05:55 and lands in Cairo mid morning. The flight home usually leaves Cairo around midnight and lands at JKIA early the next morning. EgyptAir does not fly every day in both directions, so your planner matches your dates to the days it flies. Your domestic flight to Hurghada leaves Cairo in the morning and your flight back to Cairo is timed to land at least four hours before your flight home. Your planner confirms every flight on your written quote before you pay. From late October to late April, Egypt is one hour behind Nairobi. The Giza Plateau opens at 7am, with last entry at about 4pm. The Grand Egyptian Museum works with timed tickets and opens its galleries from 9am to 6pm, until 9pm on Wednesdays and Saturdays. During Ramadan, expected from about 9 February to 10 March 2027, sites open later and close earlier. The plan follows the shorter hours. The Red Sea is at its coolest from January to March, so sunny days by the pool are warm while a long snorkel can feel fresh.
