Kenya Road Safaris

Sentrim Amboseli or similar

Your own van, your own guide, your own pace. Amboseli with the people you choose.

This Amboseli private safari is built for families and groups of friends who want the park to themselves, with a private van and guide from Nairobi.

LONG PACKAGE DESCRIPTION

Some trips are better with your own people. On this private safari, the van, the guide and the schedule belong to your group alone. Stop as long as you like at an elephant crossing, leave early for the best light, or head back to camp when the children have had enough. Nobody else's plans slow you down.

Amboseli is one of the best places in Africa to watch elephants. Big family herds move between the open plains and the green swamps, and on clear mornings Kilimanjaro rises behind them from across the border in Tanzania. The mountain often hides in cloud, so early drives give you the best chance. You will also see lion, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, hippo and a long list of birds. Amboseli has no rhino, so it is not a Big Five park, but for elephants it is hard to beat.

Your group stays two nights at Sentrim Amboseli, a tented camp on the border of the park, a few minutes from Kimana Gate, with full board meals and a pool for the hot middle of the day. Prices drop as your group grows, and park fees are already included. Travelling as a couple? Our Amboseli couples safari packages are designed for two.

About Package

More information about this package

A Van for Your Group Only: A private Toyota Hiace with a pop up roof and your own driver guide for all three days. Up to seven guests, every seat a window seat.

Your Schedule, Your Stops: Linger at a sighting, skip the midday drive or head out at first light. The day runs on your group's rhythm.

Tented Camp with a Pool: Sentrim Amboseli has en suite tents with hot showers and verandas, full board meals and an outdoor pool, a welcome break for families in the midday heat.

Close to the Park Gate: Sentrim sits about 3 km from Kimana Gate, so more of your time goes to wildlife and less to driving.

Better Value for Bigger Groups: Because the van cost is shared within your group, the price per person falls as more people join.
