Built around not knowing. This budget package works exactly like our other Diani escapes. Same relaxed SGR ride down through Tsavo, same easy beachfront stay, except one partner arranges everything, and the other finds out only once the journey is already underway.
The train itself becomes part of the mystery. Watching Tsavo's open savannah roll past the window without knowing the final stop. This is part of what makes the Madaraka Express such a good fit for a surprise trip. There's a five to six hour window where the destination stays a secret, with nothing to give it away.
We coordinate the details quietly on your behalf, from the driver at Miritini to check-in at the guesthouse, so your secret holds until the exact moment you're ready to reveal it.

SGR from Nairobi to Mombasa (Miritini). The surprised partner boards not knowing the final stop — we can coordinate a cover story for the booking if needed.
Shared road transfer, Miritini to Diani. Roughly 1 to 1.5 hours; the driver is briefed in advance not to mention "Diani" until you're ready to reveal it.
Half-board accommodation, 2 nights. Booked entirely by the planning partner — check-in staff briefed to play along with whatever cover story you've chosen.
The reveal, timed to you. Whether it happens at the SGR station, in the car, or on arrival at the guesthouse, we coordinate the small details so the moment lands the way you've pictured it.
Optional extras. A beach dinner or couples massage can be pre-booked as part of the reveal itself, so the surprise continues past the first "we're going where?"

The package itinerary is as follows

Day 1 — The Reveal
Morning SGR departure (destination undisclosed to the surprised partner, if desired). Arrive Miritini around 2:00 PM. Shared transfer to Diani, with the reveal timed en route or on arrival, per your instructions. Check-in, evening free.
Day 2 — The Getaway
Full day free on the beach. Optional add-ons available.
