Lunch at Trout Tree Restaurant as the reveal moment. A real, well known dining spot above the Burguret River, lunch only, 10 AM to 4:45 PM, closed Mondays, a natural, unhurried setting to finally explain the trip.
Two nights at Falcon Heights Hotel, Nanyuki, or similar. A well reviewed hotel in Nanyuki town with a pool and breakfast included, easy to frame as an ordinary getaway until the reveal lands.
An afternoon inside Ol Pejeta Conservancy. The rhino sanctuary, home to Najin and Fatu, and the chimpanzee sanctuary, both included with entry, alongside resident Big Five game viewing.
Private return transfer via Bamm Tours, kept low key on the way up. Road only, roughly 195 km from Nairobi via Thika and Karatina on the A2, about three to four hours each way, easy to describe as an ordinary road trip until the Trout Tree stop.
Flight option available on request. Safarilink and AirKenya both fly Wilson to Nanyuki in around 40 minutes if the surprise calls for a faster, less obvious mode of travel.
An optional upgrade if the reveal calls for one night inside the conservancy. A "Sleep in the Conservancy" night can be added on request.
Package Itinerary
The package itinerary is as follows
3-Day Affordable Surprise Itinerary to Laikipia with Baecation Adventures from Nairobi
Day 1 — Pickup: 8:00 AM from your Nairobi address or hotel.
Morning: Departure north on the A2, framed however you like it, a scenic drive, a lunch trip, whatever keeps the surprise intact through Thika and Karatina.
Afternoon: A stop at Trout Tree Restaurant for lunch above the Burguret River, and the moment you tell them what's actually happening. From there, on to Nanyuki and check in to Falcon Heights.
Evening: Dinner in Nanyuki town, settling into the news together.
Day 2
Morning: Breakfast, then into Ol Pejeta Conservancy for the rhino sanctuary.
Afternoon: The chimpanzee sanctuary and a game drive across the conservancy's plains.
Evening: Return to Nanyuki for dinner.
Day 3
Morning: A relaxed breakfast and a last look at Mount Kenya before check out.
Afternoon: Departure back to Nairobi, arriving mid to late afternoon.
