Keekorok Lodge

Years together, deserve one more wild chapter: a private 3-day anniversary escape into the heart of the Masai Mara.

An anniversary is worth marking somewhere that matches the scale of what you have built together, and few places do that better than the Masai Mara.

This package puts you in a private vehicle with your own driver-guide for three days, based at Keekorok Lodge or similar right inside the reserve, so your time is spent looking for lion and leopard rather than sitting in a shared bus on someone else's schedule.

Each evening, we take you up toward the escarpment light for a private sundowner, the kind of quiet, golden half hour that is easy to forget you need until you are standing in it with a drink in hand and the person you have chosen to keep choosing.

It is a return to the wild for two people who already know how to be a team, built to be memorable without being extravagant.

About Package

More information about this package

Private Vehicle & Driver-Guide: No shared schedule, no waiting on other travellers, your anniversary drives happen at your pace in a private vehicle with your own driver-guide for the whole trip.

In-Reserve Accommodation: Two nights at Keekorok Lodge, or similar, on 80 acres in the direct path of the Great Migration, with a resident hippo pool, a pool deck for guests, and roughly a 3.7 km run to Keekorok Airstrip, genuinely inside the Mara rather than on its outskirts.

Escarpment Sundowner Positioning: Where terrain allows, your evening drive is timed to take in the light along the Oloolaimutia/Siria escarpment edge of the reserve, a dramatically different, more elevated view of the plains than a flat-savanna sundowner.

Two Private Game Drives Daily: Private to your vehicle, timed for the early morning and late afternoon windows when wildlife activity peaks.

Migration-Season Relevance: Travelling between July and October puts you in range of the Mara River crossings, one of the most talked-about wildlife events on the continent and a striking thing to witness together on an anniversary trip.

Honest Road Transfer: Nairobi to Keekorok Lodge is approximately 270 km, roughly 5 to 6 hours by road via Narok town and Sekenani Gate, tarmac most of the way with murram track inside the reserve. Day 1 is planned around that real driving time.

A Genuine Flight Upgrade: Safarilink, AirKenya, Fly540 and Jambo Jet fly Wilson Airport to Mara airstrips in about 45 to 60 minutes; couples who would rather trade a long drive for extra time in the bush can add this as an upgrade.

A Private Toast Built In: Each evening's sundowner is set aside specifically for the two of you, drinks and a quiet stretch of plains, no group of strangers sharing the view.

Package Itinerary

The package itinerary is as follows

Affordable Anniversary Masai Mara Itinerary, 3 Days 2 Nights.

Day 1: Back Into the Wild
Pickup: 6:00 AM from your Nairobi residence or hotel.
Morning: Departure at 6:00 AM for the drive to the Mara, about 270 km and 5 to 6 hours via Narok town and Sekenani Gate, with a stop along the way to stretch and pick up any last supplies.
Afternoon: Arrival at Keekorok Lodge in the early afternoon. Settle in, have lunch, and head out mid-afternoon on your first game drive as the day cools.
Evening: Dinner at the lodge, with a slow walk past the hippo pool if the light is still good when you get back. A quiet first night to reset after the road.

Day 2: The Anniversary Day
Morning: An early game drive while the plains are at their most active, the best window for predators and, in season, migration herds moving through the reserve.
Afternoon: Back at the lodge for lunch and downtime, the pool, the deck, or simply resting together before the evening drive.
Evening: An escarpment-side game drive into the late afternoon, ending at a private sundowner spot with the light turning gold over the plains below. Dinner at the lodge afterward closes out the day you came here for.

Day 3: One More Look, Then Home
Morning: A final relaxed game drive before checkout, whatever the Mara offers on your last morning.
Afternoon: Breakfast, checkout, and the drive back to Nairobi, arriving late afternoon to early evening.
