Shared group joining safari vehicle, typically 6 to 7 guests plus a driver-guide, on a fixed schedule of 1 to 2 game drives a day, the most cost-effective way to see the Mara properly.
Two nights at Keekorok Lodge, or similar, inside the reserve. Keekorok sits on 80 acres directly in the Great Migration's path, with a resident hippo pool, guest pool and game-viewing deck, roughly 3.7 km from Keekorok Airstrip.
A genuine in-reserve base. Keekorok is inside the park boundary, not a gateway town, so your group's game drives start right from the lodge rather than after a long approach drive.
Migration-season relevance (July to October). If your dates fall in this window, the Mara River crossings are one of the most dramatic wildlife spectacles anywhere and worth building your trip around if you can.
Clear, fixed game drive schedule. Morning and late-afternoon drives run on a set shared schedule, communicated before you book so there are no surprises.
Honest road transfer timing. Nairobi to Keekorok Lodge is approximately 270 km, roughly 5 to 6 hours by road via Narok town and Sekenani Gate, tarmac most of the way with a murram stretch inside the reserve.
Flight alternative genuinely available. Safarilink, AirKenya, Fly540 and Jambo Jet fly Wilson Airport to Mara airstrips in about 45 to 60 minutes for anyone who would rather trade the road time for extra hours in the bush.
Private upgrade available for anyone who wants it. The existing Vehicle Upgrade add-on converts you to a private vehicle if the group format does not suit your group, see add-ons below.

Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara
06:00 — Pickup from your Nairobi residence or hotel
06:15 — Depart Nairobi, drive via Narok town toward Sekenani Gate (approx. 270 km, 5 to 6 hours)
08:30 — Rest stop in Narok town for refreshments and a stretch
11:30 – 12:30 — Arrival at Keekorok Lodge, check-in and lunch
15:30 — Afternoon group game drive
18:30 — Return to the lodge, dinner and overnight
Day 2: Full Day Game Viewing
06:30 — Early breakfast
07:00 — Morning group game drive across the reserve
12:30 — Return to the lodge for lunch and rest, pool and deck available
16:00 — Afternoon group game drive
