We split the stay on purpose. Cape Town comes first, when you have the most energy: the mountain, the harbour, the drive to Cape Point. Then you slow right down in Franschhoek, a small village of old Cape Dutch houses, restaurants and vineyards, where the only plan for your last full day is a tram ride between wine estates. Two very different places in six days, and only one change of hotel.
The days are paced for newlyweds. Each one has a single main outing and plenty of time left for each other. Dinners are yours to choose, because both Sea Point and Franschhoek are full of good restaurants within walking distance. Table Mountain closes in strong wind, so your planner keeps the Cape Town days swappable and moves them around the weather.

City nights: Your first three nights are at The Winchester Hotel, formerly Winchester Mansions, on Beach Road in Sea Point, or a comparable hotel confirmed at booking. It faces the promenade and the Atlantic, with an outdoor pool, a full service spa and a restaurant overlooking the ocean.
Winelands nights: Your last two nights are at Avondrood Guest House on Huguenot Street in Franschhoek, or a comparable guesthouse confirmed at booking. It is a small, highly rated guesthouse set in a large garden with a saltwater pool and a jacuzzi with mountain views, a short walk from the village restaurants.
Breakfast daily: Breakfast is included every morning at both stays. Dinners are left open, so you can choose a seafront spot in Sea Point and a winelands table in Franschhoek.
Flights that fit your dates: Kenya Airways flies direct between JKIA and Cape Town in about five hours and 45 minutes on set days of the week. On other days you fly through Johannesburg on a single ticket, with your bags checked through to Cape Town.
Table Mountain and the harbour at sunset: Your return cableway tickets are included, and on one Cape Town evening you sail out of the V&A Waterfront on a 90 minute sunset cruise with two glasses of sparkling wine each.
The Cape Peninsula in one day: A private driver guide takes the two of you along Chapman's Peak Drive, to the penguin colony at Boulders Beach and to Cape Point, with your park entry fees included.
A day on the Wine Tram: Hop on and off the Franschhoek Wine Tram between wine estates in the valley, with tastings included at the estates you choose.
No visa, but a yellow card: Kenyan passport holders do not need a visa for South Africa for a holiday. South Africa does require a valid yellow fever certificate from travellers arriving from Kenya, so your planner checks yours before you pay.

Flight times vary by date. This plan follows the daily morning connection through Johannesburg, which lands in Cape Town around lunchtime. On days when Kenya Airways flies direct, you leave Nairobi in the late afternoon and land in Cape Town at night, and your planner shifts the first day to match. Your planner confirms the exact flights on your written quote before you pay.
Day 1: Nairobi to Cape Town
Morning: An Early Start as Newlyweds Reach JKIA about three hours before your early morning flight with your passports, yellow fever certificates and printed e tickets. Fly to Johannesburg and connect to Cape Town, with your bags checked through.
Afternoon: Into Sea Point Land in Cape Town around lunchtime and meet your driver for the private drive of about 25 minutes to Sea Point. Check in and take a moment by the pool.
Evening: The Promenade Walk the Sea Point promenade along the Atlantic, then choose a spot for your first dinner abroad as a married couple.

Day 2: Table Mountain and the Harbour

Afternoon: The V&A Waterfront Head down to the V&A Waterfront for lunch by the harbour and a slow wander around the quays and the craft stalls at the Watershed.
Evening: Sunset on the Water Board your 90 minute sunset cruise from the Waterfront and sail out into Table Bay with a glass of sparkling wine as the light changes over the mountain. Dinner afterwards is your choice.

Day 3: The Cape Peninsula
Morning: Chapman's Peak After breakfast, your private driver guide collects you for a full day down the peninsula. Drive past Clifton and Camps Bay to Hout Bay, then along Chapman's Peak Drive, a road cut into the cliffs above the sea.
Afternoon: Cape Point and the Penguins Continue into the Cape of Good Hope section of Table Mountain National Park for Cape Point and its lighthouse, then stop at Boulders Beach in Simon's Town, where African penguins live on the sand between the boulders.
Evening: A Last Night by the Sea Return to the hotel in the late afternoon and take your time over a last dinner in Cape Town.

Day 4: Into the Winelands
