Your wedding was the loud part. This is the part for the two of you. Nairobi has a national park on the edge of the city, and on your second day you spend the whole day in it and around it: a game drive at dawn, orphaned elephants at their mud bath, giraffes eating from your hand, a long lunch and a slow drive back through the city.
You stay in a one bedroom suite at Trademark Suites at Enaki Town, in the leafy suburb of Nyari. You get a king bed, a private balcony, a kitchen of your own, two outdoor pools and breakfast every morning. On your first night the room is set for you with rose petals, candles and a welcome cake.
Day two is one private tour van, a Toyota Hiace with a roof that lifts and a driver guide who knows the park, kept for you from before sunrise until you are back at the hotel. Want more space and a smoother ride? Upgrade to a Toyota Land Cruiser Safari Van in the Add Ons tab.

One Bedroom Suite: Your suite has a king bed, a lounge, a private balcony and a fully equipped kitchen with a coffee and tea station. You also get a study desk, a laptop size safe, a smart TV with satellite channels and two bottles of mineral water every day.
Two Outdoor Pools: The hotel has two outdoor pools, and both are free for guests. A quiet swim after the long day two is the best way to end it.
Quiet Nyari Setting: The suites sit in Nyari, a green suburb away from downtown noise and near Karura Forest. A free shuttle runs to Village Market for shopping and dinner, and 24 hour room service comes with no tray charge.
Breakfast Every Morning: Breakfast is included in your room rate. On day two you leave before the restaurant opens, so we ask the hotel to pack your breakfast for the road.
Nairobi National Park at Dawn: Your tour van has a roof that lifts, so you can stand and look out across the plains. Lions, giraffe, zebra and rhino live in the park with the city skyline behind them. Sightings are never guaranteed, but an early start gives you the best chance.
Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Nursery: Once a day the Trust opens its elephant nursery to visitors with a booking. You watch orphaned elephants run out for their milk and their mud bath while a keeper tells you each orphan's story. Baecation makes the booking for you.
Giraffe Centre: The Giraffe Centre in Lang'ata was set up in 1979 to protect the Rothschild's giraffe. A raised platform brings you to eye level, and you feed the giraffes by hand.
City Drive Home: On the way back to the hotel your guide takes you through the city, past Uhuru Park, the Kenyatta International Conference Centre and Parliament Buildings.

Day 1: Arrive and Settle In
Morning: A Slow Start Nairobi couples wake up at home and take their time. Couples arriving from upcountry or abroad make their way to Nyari. Either way nothing is scheduled yet, and the day begins at your own pace.
Afternoon: Suite Keys and a Swim Your suite is ready when you arrive: rose petals, candles and a welcome cake are waiting. Unpack, open the balcony doors, then take a swim in one of the two pools.
Evening: A Quiet First Night Tonight there is nothing to plan. Order from room service, add the Honeymoon Dinner for Two from the Add Ons tab, or take the free shuttle to Village Market. Sleep early, because tomorrow starts before sunrise.
Day 2: Rhino, Elephants and Giraffes
Morning: Dawn Game Drive and Baby Elephants Your driver guide collects you at 5:15 am with a packed breakfast, so the van is at the park gate when it opens at 6. Stand up through the raised roof and watch the plains open out with the city skyline behind the grass. Your guide tracks lions, giraffe, zebra and rhino for you, then brings you to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust nursery for the public hour, where the orphaned elephants come out for milk and mud.
Afternoon: Giraffes, Then a Long Lunch From the nursery it is a short drive to the Giraffe Centre. Climb the platform, hold a pellet between your fingers and let a Rothschild's giraffe take it from you. It is a light and funny moment, exactly what a honeymoon needs between the big ones. Then choose lunch at Carnivore, Galleria Mall or Mamba Village. We book the table and you order what you like.
Evening: The City on the Way Home Your guide takes the long way back through Nairobi, past Uhuru Park, the Kenyatta International Conference Centre and Parliament Buildings, with stops for photographs. You are back at the hotel in time for a swim, room service or the Honeymoon Dinner for Two. Your guide sets the pace, so if you want a lighter day, skip the city drive and head straight home after lunch.
Day 3: A Slow Morning, Then the Road Home
Morning: Sleep In or Set Off Breakfast is served in the restaurant at your own pace. Couples who want to see more choose the Departure Day Tour in the Add Ons tab, which takes you through Karura Forest and the Nairobi National Museum on the way to JKIA. Everyone else has the pool and the balcony until check out.
Afternoon: Onward Couples heading home step into their own car. Couples travelling on can add a drop off to JKIA or Nairobi Terminus in the Add Ons tab, and can finish the departure day with ice skating at Panari Hotel.
