Affordable Morocco Honeymoon Package from Nairobi | 7 Days 5 Nights
Le Riad Monceau and Heure Bleue Palais or similar
Seven days in Morocco as newlyweds: three nights in a honeymoon suite with its own hot tub in the Marrakech medina, two nights by the Atlantic in Essaouira, a licensed guide, the Majorelle Garden and a hammam and massage for two, with your Qatar Airways flights, your Morocco visa fee and travel insurance in one price.
Affordable Morocco Honeymoon Package from Nairobi: seven days and five nights with return economy flights from JKIA on Qatar Airways through Doha and checked baggage on your fare. Kenyans need a visa from the Embassy of Morocco in Nairobi before flying. Your visa fee and the travel insurance the embassy asks for are included. Your planner prepares the document pack with you. You begin with three nights with breakfast in the Honeymoon Suite at Le Riad Monceau, about two minutes on foot from Jemaa el Fna, then a private car takes you to the coast for two nights with breakfast at Heure Bleue Palais in Essaouira.
Your first week as a married couple takes in a private morning in the medina with a licensed guide, the Majorelle Garden with the Yves Saint Laurent Museum and an afternoon of hammam and massage for the two of you. Then the pace drops by the sea, with the old ramparts, the blue fishing boats of the port and long walks on the beach. One price per person sharing covers the flights, hotel, transfers and every experience listed below. One Baecation planner stays with you on WhatsApp from booking to landing home.
Morocco gives a honeymoon two very different halves. Marrakech is colour, noise and energy: the souks, the call to prayer over the rooftops and the smoke rising from the food stalls of Jemaa el Fna. Essaouira, three hours west on the Atlantic, is the opposite. It is a small walled town of white and blue houses, sea air and fishing boats, where evenings are for slow dinners and the wind off the ocean.
We start you in the city on purpose, while you still have the energy for it. Le Riad Monceau has only 10 rooms around a courtyard with a mosaic pool. Its Honeymoon Suite has a hot tub of its own, so the medina is right outside your door and quiet is a few steps away. Then you leave the city behind for Essaouira, where the trip ends with nothing booked but the sea.
Every hard part is handled for you: the visa pack, the long flights, the porters in the medina lanes and the drive to the coast. You spend your time on each other, not on directions.

About Package
More information about this package
Three nights in Marrakech: Your first three nights are at Le Riad Monceau in the Marrakech medina or a comparable riad confirmed at booking, in the Honeymoon Suite of about 45 square metres with a king size bed and a hot tub, with breakfast every morning.
At the riad: Le Riad Monceau has 10 rooms over two floors around an outdoor mosaic pool, a roof terrace with a large sunbed and a spa with a hammam, a steam room and massage rooms. A buffet breakfast is served from 8am to 10.30am. Check in is from 2pm and check out is at noon. The riad has no lift.
Where you are in Marrakech: The riad stands at 7 Derb Chaabane, off Riad Zitoun Lakdim, about two minutes on foot from Jemaa el Fna. Marrakech Menara Airport is about 15 minutes away by car. Cars cannot drive through most of the medina lanes, so your driver stops at the nearest road and a porter wheels your bags to the door.
Two nights in Essaouira: Your last two nights are at Heure Bleue Palais in Essaouira or a comparable hotel confirmed at booking, in a Classic Double Room of about 27 square metres, with breakfast every morning. The hotel is a member of Relais & Châteaux, with 33 rooms, an outdoor pool with a poolside bar, a roof terrace and a spa with a hammam and a steam room. Breakfast is served from 7.30am to 10.30am. Check in is from 3pm and check out is at noon. It stands by Bab Marrakech, one of the old gates of the town, about seven minutes on foot from the beach and from Place Moulay Hassan.
Essaouira: Essaouira is an old fortified port on the Atlantic, with a medina listed by UNESCO, sea walls lined with old cannons, a working harbour full of blue wooden boats and a long sandy beach. It is often windy, which keeps it cool in summer and makes the sea better for kitesurfers than for swimming in winter.
The drive to the coast: A private car takes you from Marrakech to Essaouira, about three hours through farmland and argan country, with a stop on the way. On your last day another private car takes you from Essaouira straight to Marrakech airport.
Your flights: Qatar Airways flies from JKIA to Doha in about five hours. The onward flight stops in Casablanca and lands in Marrakech in the late afternoon. On some dates the short last hop from Casablanca is on Royal Air Maroc, on the same ticket. The journey takes about 17 hours each way. Your checked baggage is on your fare. Marrakech is three hours behind Nairobi.
The medina with a licensed guide: Your guide collects you from the riad after breakfast for a private half day: the painted courtyards of the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, the Bab Agnaou gate, the old Jewish quarter of the Mellah and the souks. Your entrance tickets are included.
The Majorelle Garden: The blue garden in Gueliz, once the home of the painter Jacques Majorelle and later of Yves Saint Laurent, with the Yves Saint Laurent Museum beside it. Tickets are timed and sold online only. Your planner books both for you.
Hammam and massage for two: An afternoon at a spa in the medina with private rooms for couples: warm steam, a scrub with black olive soap, then a massage each with argan oil.
Before you fly: Kenyans need a visa from the Embassy of Morocco in Nairobi before travelling. Your visa fee and travel insurance are included and your planner prepares the document pack, but each of you attends the embassy in person. Kenyans who already hold a valid visa from the United States, the United Kingdom or a Schengen country may qualify for Morocco's e visa instead. Your planner checks whether you qualify. Each of you needs a passport valid for at least six months from the day you land, with a blank page. Carry your return tickets, riad and hotel vouchers, insurance certificate, a copy of your marriage certificate and a bank card.
Full entry guide: Every entry rule, with the official links, is explained on our Marrakech page at baecation.co.ke/marrakech.
Respect in the medina: Cover shoulders and knees in the medinas of Marrakech and Essaouira and at the old sites. Holding hands is fine. Keep kisses and cuddles for private moments. Most mosques in Morocco, the Koutoubia included, are open to Muslims only, so visitors admire them from outside. Ask before you photograph people.
Guides, touts and tipping: Men may offer to show you the way or tell you a site is closed. A polite no is enough. Only use guides with an official badge. Performers and anyone who poses for a photo in Jemaa el Fna expect a tip. In the souks, prices are agreed by bargaining, so start well below the first price and smile. Carry small notes for porters, waiters, drivers and guides.
Staying safe: Keep your phone and bag close in the crowds of the square and the souks. Agree a taxi fare before you get in or ask for the meter. Drink bottled water. Do not photograph police, military sites or government buildings. Alcohol is served only in licensed hotels, bars and restaurants. Beaches in Morocco often have strong currents and few lifeguards, so swim only where the water is calm.
Travel cover: Your connection is in Doha. The wider Gulf region has seen strikes and attacks since July and airspace can close at short notice. We book changeable fares where the airline offers them and tell you straight away if official advice changes before you fly. The travel insurance in your price is the medical cover the embassy asks for. Ask your planner to add cover for flight disruption.
One planner, start to finish: Your Baecation planner prepares your visa document pack, checks your file before you go to the embassy, sends your e tickets, insurance and vouchers before you fly, lets the riad and the hotel know you are on honeymoon and stays reachable on WhatsApp throughout. Any honeymoon touches the riad or the hotel choose to offer are their gift and are not guaranteed.
Package Itinerary
The package itinerary is as follows
Affordable Morocco Honeymoon Package Itinerary with Baecation Adventures from Nairobi
Qatar Airways usually leaves JKIA just after midnight, connects in Doha and lands in Marrakech in the late afternoon after a stop in Casablanca. On some dates the last hop from Casablanca is on Royal Air Maroc, which can mean a later arrival. The flight home leaves Marrakech in the late afternoon, connects in Doha early the next morning and lands at JKIA in the early afternoon. Your planner confirms the exact flights on your written quote before you pay. Marrakech is three hours behind Nairobi. The Bahia Palace and the Saadian Tombs open daily from 9am to 5pm. The Majorelle Garden opens daily from about 8am to 5pm with timed tickets bought online. The Yves Saint Laurent Museum keeps its own hours, so your planner books it and swaps the days if needed. Essaouira is often windy, so pack a warm layer for the ramparts and the beach. During Ramadan, expected from about 9 February to 9 March 2027, sites open later and close earlier. Many cafés in the medinas close during the day. The plan follows the shorter hours.
Day 1: Nairobi to Marrakech
Morning: Documents in One Folder Reach JKIA late the evening before, as your flight leaves just after midnight. Put your passports with your visa stickers, your insurance certificate, a copy of your marriage certificate, printed return e tickets, riad and hotel vouchers and a bank card in one folder for your hand luggage. Change planes in Doha, then settle in for the long flight west.
Afternoon: Into the Medina After a short stop in Casablanca, you land in Marrakech in the late afternoon. Clear immigration, change some money at the airport and meet your driver. A porter wheels your bags through the lanes to the riad. Check in to your Honeymoon Suite and take your first mint tea in the courtyard.
Evening: Jemaa el Fna Walk two minutes to Jemaa el Fna as the food stalls light their grills. Share a plate of grilled meat, harira soup and fresh orange juice, then come back for an early night and the hot tub in your suite.

Afternoon: The Souks and the Pool Your guide ends the tour in the souks, where each lane has its own trade: leather, lamps, spices, carpets and brass. After lunch, head back to the riad for an afternoon by the mosaic pool.
