While your partner changes for dinner, we quietly set the rooftop pool corner with candles and petals, out of sight until you lead them there. The next morning one private tour van is kept for you from before sunrise, a dawn game drive, orphaned elephants at their mud bath, giraffes eating from your hand, a long lunch and a slow drive back through the city, your first full day as fiances.

Suite for Two: Your suite has a king bed, a lounge, a private balcony and a fully equipped kitchen with a coffee and tea station. There is also a study desk, a laptop size safe, a smart TV and two bottles of mineral water a day.
The Rooftop Moment: Both outdoor pools are free for guests, and the quieter corner of the rooftop pool is where we set up your proposal once your partner is out of sight getting ready. Candles and petals are arranged just before you arrive there.
Nyari, Away from Prying Eyes: The suites sit in a quiet green suburb near Karura Forest, well away from downtown crowds. That privacy is exactly why we like it for this moment. A free shuttle runs to Village Market if you want it.
Breakfast Included: Breakfast is part of your room rate every morning. On day two you leave before the restaurant opens, so we ask the hotel to pack your breakfast for the road.
Nairobi National Park: Your tour van has a roof that lifts, so you can stand up and watch the plains with the city skyline behind them. Lions, giraffe, zebra and rhino live in the park. Sightings are never guaranteed, but the early start gives you the best chance.
Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Nursery: Once a day the Trust opens its orphan elephant nursery for a public hour, when the young ones run out for their milk and a mud bath and a keeper tells each orphan's story. Baecation books the visit for you, and the Trust confirms every booking itself and takes none on the day, so please book at least a week before you travel.
Giraffe Centre: The Giraffe Centre in Lang'ata was set up in 1979 to protect the Rothschild's giraffe. You climb a raised platform to eye level and feed them by hand, engagement ring and all.
City Drive Home: On the way back to the hotel your guide takes the long route through Nairobi, past Uhuru Park, the Kenyatta International Conference Centre and Parliament Buildings, your first drive together as fiances.

Day 1: The Question
Morning: Just Another Trip, As Far As They Know
Nairobi couples leave home whenever suits the morning. Couples arriving from upcountry or abroad make their way to Nyari. As far as your partner knows, this is simply a weekend away you planned for them.
Afternoon: Settle In, Say Nothing
Check in together, unpack, and let the suite feel like any other holiday arrival. Take a swim if you like. Nothing about the afternoon should feel different from what they expect.
Evening: The Rooftop
While your partner changes for dinner, our team quietly sets candles and petals at the quieter end of the rooftop pool. Lead them there once it is ready, using the signal you agreed with us beforehand. Ask the question with Nairobi's evening sky behind you. What happens next is entirely yours, but most couples order champagne and stay up far later than planned.
Day 2: Your First Day as Fiances
Morning: A Dawn Game Drive to Celebrate
Your driver guide collects you both at 5:15 am with a packed breakfast, so the van is at the park gate when it opens at 6. Stand up together through the raised roof as the plains open out with the city skyline behind the grass. Your guide tracks lions, giraffe, zebra and rhino for you, then brings you to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust nursery for the public hour, when the orphaned elephants come out for milk and mud.
Afternoon: Giraffes, Then Lunch to Toast the News
A short drive from the nursery brings you to the Giraffe Centre, where feeding a Rothschild's giraffe with a new ring on your finger tends to draw a few knowing smiles from the keepers. Lunch is your choice of Carnivore, Galleria Mall or Mamba Village. We reserve the table, and this is usually the meal where you finally get to call everyone.
Evening: Nairobi, Newly Engaged
Your guide takes the scenic route back through the city, past Uhuru Park, the Kenyatta International Conference Centre and Parliament Buildings, your first drive together as an engaged couple. Worn out from the early start? Skip the city drive and head straight back for the pool instead. Room service, a swim or the Engagement Dinner for Two from the Add Ons tab are waiting either way.
Day 3: Let It Sink In
Morning: No Alarm, Just the Two of You
Breakfast runs in the restaurant at your own pace, ring catching the light over coffee. Want one more stop before you go? Choose the Departure Day Tour in the Add Ons tab, which takes you through Karura Forest and the Nairobi National Museum on the way to JKIA. Otherwise the pool and the balcony are yours until check out.
Afternoon: Home, Engaged
Couples staying in Nairobi drive themselves home to start making calls and plans. Couples travelling on can add a drop off to JKIA or Nairobi Terminus in the Add Ons tab, and can round off the trip with ice skating at Panari Hotel.
