Affordable Proposal Tsavo SGR Safari | 3 Days 2 Nights
Sentrim Tsavo or similar
Your partner thinks it is a weekend in the bush. You know it is the weekend.
Our Affordable Proposal Tsavo SGR Safari gives you three days in Tsavo East, a private safari van and one sunset on your tent balcony that your partner will never see coming.
Your partner thinks this is a simple escape: a train ride, some elephants, a couple of nights under canvas. You know better. We plan everything around one moment, and nobody on the trip says a word about it until you do.
If you are travelling from Nairobi, you both ride the Madaraka Express in First Class to Voi, where your driver guide meets you with a private safari van. From Mombasa, the same van collects you at your hotel. You stay two nights at Sentrim Tsavo, a tented camp inside Tsavo East, where elephants come to a waterhole within sight of the dining area. Tsavo East holds four of the Big Five, with elephants and buffalo most days, lions often and leopards on lucky drives, but no rhinos.
On the second afternoon, while the two of you are out on a game drive, the camp team sets your tent balcony with sparkling wine, two glasses and flowers. Your guide times the drive home for sunset. You walk up the steps, your partner sees the balcony, and the rest is up to you. From then on, the trip belongs to both of you.

About Package
More information about this package
A tent inside the park: Sentrim Tsavo sits within Tsavo East, some 40 minutes of bush driving past Voi Gate. Staying inside means no gate queues, and it means your balcony faces open bush rather than a car park.
The balcony that matters: Each of the 21 canvas tents and 5 stone walled rooms has a large balcony looking out at the bush, a king size bed under a mosquito net, a hot shower and a tea and coffee tray. On day two, your balcony becomes the stage.
The waterhole at dinner: Elephants come in to drink at a waterhole in view of the dining tables, often after dark. It makes a fitting place for your first dinner as an engaged couple.
Somewhere to celebrate: Kiu Bar sits beside the outdoor pool and Chui Bar is tucked indoors for the evening. The bonfire burns after dinner, which is where most newly engaged couples end up telling the story twice.
An easy way in: From Nairobi, you both ride the 8:00am First Class train and reach Voi at 12:02pm. From Mombasa, the private van collects you at your hotel and stays with you for all three days.
A proposal your partner will not guess: While you are both out on the afternoon drive, the camp dresses your balcony and your guide brings you back as the sun drops. Your partner only sees the setup when you reach the tent, and by then the ring is in your pocket.
Package Itinerary
The package itinerary is as follows
Affordable Proposal Tsavo SGR Safari Itinerary with Baecation Adventures from Nairobi or Mombasa
Day 1
Morning, The Cover Story Begins: From Nairobi, you both board the 8:00am Madaraka Express in First Class at Nairobi Terminus in Syokimau, and the ring rides in your hand luggage. From Mombasa, the van collects you both at your hotel early in the morning.
Afternoon, Into Tsavo East: The train reaches Voi at 12:02pm, where your guide is waiting, fully briefed and saying nothing. You drive in through Voi Gate and game drive to Sentrim Tsavo for a late lunch.
Evening, An Ordinary Safari Evening: A short drive as the heat drops, dinner beside the waterhole and a drink by the bonfire. As far as your partner knows, this is the whole plan.
Day 2
Morning, A Normal Morning: An early drive across the plains, then breakfast at camp. Your guide quietly confirms the afternoon timing with the camp team while you both relax by the pool.
Afternoon, The Long Way Home: A late afternoon game drive while the balcony is set behind you. Your guide keeps the drive going just long enough to bring you back to camp as the light turns gold.
Evening, The Question: You walk up to your tent together and your partner sees the balcony. Sparkling wine, two glasses, flowers and a Tsavo sunset. You ask. Dinner afterwards is for the two of you, beside the waterhole, as an engaged couple.
Day 3
Morning, A First Morning Engaged: One more dawn drive together, then breakfast and check out by 10:00am.
Afternoon, Back Towards Voi: You game drive out to Voi with a packed lunch, probably still looking at the ring. From Mombasa, the van carries you both down the highway to the coast by evening.
Evening, Home with News: From Nairobi, you both board the 4:38pm Madaraka Express at Voi in First Class and arrive at Nairobi Terminus at 8:18pm, with a lot of phone calls to make.
