Carlton Hotel Singapore or similar

Six days in Singapore from Nairobi: Qatar Airways flights through Doha, no visa to apply for, four nights a walk from Marina Bay, the two great domes of Gardens by the Bay, a bumboat cruise on the Singapore River and the city lights from the SkyPark 56 storeys up, in one price.

Affordable Singapore Package from Nairobi: six days and four nights with return economy flights from JKIA through Doha on Qatar Airways and checked baggage on your fare. Kenyan passport holders need no visa for Singapore, so there is no visa fee and no embassy queue. You stay four nights with breakfast in a Deluxe Room at Carlton Hotel Singapore on Bras Basah Road, a walk from the Esplanade, Raffles City and the Marina Bay waterfront, with private airport transfers on arrival and departure.

Your days take in the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest at Gardens by the Bay, the free Supertree and Spectra light shows, a morning in Kampong Glam and Little India, a 40 minute bumboat cruise from Clarke Quay to Marina Bay and an evening on the SkyPark Observation Deck at Marina Bay Sands. You need a yellow fever certificate and the free SG Arrival Card. Your planner walks you through both. One price per person sharing covers the flights, hotel, transfers and every experience listed below. One Baecation planner stays with you on WhatsApp from booking to landing home.

Singapore is the Asian city that runs on time. The trains are spotless, the streets are safe late at night and the food at a hawker stall costs a few dollars and tastes like it should cost far more. Couples come for the skyline on Marina Bay, the gardens that glow after dark and a city where Chinese, Malay and Indian neighbourhoods sit a short walk apart.

We base you on Bras Basah Road on purpose. Singapore's hotels are among the dearest in Asia. The Carlton gives you a big, well run hotel in the civic heart of the city for far less than a room on the bay itself. The Esplanade, the National Museum and the Raffles City malls are on your doorstep. The Marina Bay waterfront is a walk away, so most evenings start on foot.

The days are paced for two people on holiday, with the indoor sights in the heat of the day and the free light shows in the evening. Your flights leave Nairobi in the afternoon and bring you home early in the morning. One full day stays free for Sentosa, Orchard Road or simply the pool.

About Package

More information about this package

Your hotel: Four nights at Carlton Hotel Singapore on Bras Basah Road or a comparable hotel confirmed at booking. You stay in a Deluxe Room of 30 square metres with a king bed, a rain shower and a separate toilet, with breakfast every morning.

At the hotel: The Carlton has an outdoor pool, Café Mosaic for breakfast and all day dining, Wah Lok for Cantonese food, Tuxedo Café and Pâtisserie and TUX Bar and Lounge. Check in is from 3pm and check out is at noon.

Where you are: The Esplanade, CHIJMES, Raffles City and the National Museum of Singapore are all within walking distance, as is the Marina Bay waterfront. Changi Airport is about 25 minutes by car.

Flights through Doha: There is no direct flight from Nairobi to Singapore. Qatar Airways flies every day through Doha with one change and checked baggage on your fare. You leave JKIA in the afternoon, land in Singapore the next afternoon and on the way home land at JKIA early in the morning.

Gardens by the Bay: Your tickets take you into the Flower Dome, the largest glass greenhouse in the world, kept between 23 and 25 degrees with gardens from Africa, Australia and the Mediterranean, and the Cloud Forest, a misty indoor mountain with a waterfall. Both are air conditioned, which makes them the best place to be at midday.

The light shows: Garden Rhapsody lights up the Supertrees with music at 7.45pm and 8.45pm every evening. Spectra plays lasers, fountains and music over the water at Marina Bay Sands at 8pm and 9pm, with a 10pm show on Fridays and Saturdays. Both are free.

The river: A 40 minute bumboat cruise leaves Clarke Quay and glides past the shophouses of Boat Quay to Marina Bay, with the old city on one side and the towers on the other.

The SkyPark: Your evening ticket takes you up to the SkyPark Observation Deck on Marina Bay Sands, 56 storeys above the bay, as the lights come on across the city. The infinity pool on the same rooftop is for hotel guests only.

If the rain comes: The SkyPark deck is open to the sky and can close for a while in extreme rain or lightning. Your free day is held as a second evening for it. If it cannot open on either evening, we refund that part of your price, USD 45 per person.

Before you fly: Kenyan passport holders need no visa for Singapore, but each of you needs a passport valid for at least six months, a yellow fever certificate and the free SG Arrival Card, submitted online within the three days before you land, counting the day of arrival. Carry your return tickets, hotel vouchers and a bank card, as immigration officers can ask to see proof of onward travel and funds.

Full entry guide: Every entry rule, with the official links, is explained on our Singapore page at baecation.co.ke/singapore.

Singapore's rules: Eating and drinking are not allowed on the MRT or on public buses, smoking is only allowed in marked areas and littering is fined, so use the bins and follow the signs.

Dress for the mosque: Cover shoulders and knees at the Sultan Mosque. Robes are provided at the entrance for anyone who needs one.

Staying safe: Singapore is one of the safest cities you will visit. Use Grab or metered taxis, drink plenty of water in the heat and wear mosquito repellent, as dengue is present.

Travel cover: Your flights connect in the Gulf, where tension has led to short notice airspace closures this year. We book changeable fares where the airline offers them, recommend travel insurance that covers flight disruption and medical costs and tell you straight away if official advice changes before you fly.

One planner, start to finish: Your Baecation planner checks your documents with you, sends your e tickets and vouchers before you fly and stays reachable on WhatsApp throughout. If a flight moves or the rain changes a day, you message one person instead of five companies.

Package Itinerary

The package itinerary is as follows

Affordable Singapore Package Itinerary with Baecation Adventures from Nairobi

Qatar Airways flies daily: it usually leaves JKIA at 17:00, connects in Doha and lands in Singapore at about 15:00 the next day. The flight home usually leaves Singapore at about 20:15 and lands at JKIA at 07:15 the next morning. Winter schedules change from late October and late March, so your planner confirms the exact flights on your written quote before you pay. Singapore is five hours ahead of Nairobi. The domes at Gardens by the Bay close on set maintenance days, the next on 16 November 2026. The Sultan Mosque closes to visitors at prayer times, including Friday midday prayers, so your planner swaps days three and four when needed. Over Christmas the Supertree Grove can be ticketed in the evening for a festive event, when Garden Rhapsody is watched from the gardens nearby. December and January bring the heaviest showers of the year, so the indoor sights sit in the afternoons and your free day doubles as a backup evening for the SkyPark.

Day 1: Nairobi to Doha

Morning: Documents in One Folder Put your passports, yellow fever cards, printed return e tickets, hotel vouchers and a bank card in one folder for your hand luggage. Submit your SG Arrival Cards online, as they open three days before you land. Keep the confirmation emails on your phones.

Afternoon: Wheels Up from JKIA Reach JKIA about three hours before your afternoon flight to Doha, about five hours in the air.

Evening: Through Doha Land in Doha late in the evening and stay airside for your connection to Singapore after midnight.

Overnight: On board Meals: None included

Day 2: Into Singapore

Morning: Over the Indian Ocean Sleep through most of the flight and wake to breakfast on board on the way to Singapore.

Afternoon: Landing at Changi Land at Changi Airport in the mid afternoon. Hand your yellow fever cards to the immigration officer with your passports, then meet your driver for the drive of about 25 minutes to the Carlton. Check in and take a first swim.

Evening: Spectra on the Bay Walk down through the Esplanade to the Marina Bay waterfront and around to the Event Plaza at Marina Bay Sands for the 8pm or 9pm Spectra show over the water. Have a first dinner by the bay.

Overnight: Carlton Hotel Singapore or similar Meals: None included

Day 3: Gardens by the Bay

Morning: The Domes Take a short ride to Gardens by the Bay after breakfast. Wander the Flower Dome among baobabs, olive trees and seasonal flower displays, then climb through the mist of the Cloud Forest beside its indoor waterfall.

Afternoon: Chinatown and a Hawker Lunch Head to Chinatown for lunch at Maxwell Food Centre, where chicken rice and other local dishes cost a few dollars a plate. Walk the shophouse streets, then rest by the pool as the afternoon showers pass.

Evening: Garden Rhapsody Go back to the gardens and find a spot on the lawn beneath the Supertrees for Garden Rhapsody at 7.45pm, as the giant trees light up in time with the music. Stay for the 8.45pm show if you like and have dinner nearby.

Overnight: Carlton Hotel Singapore or similar Meals: Breakfast

Day 4: Kampong Glam, the River and the SkyPark

Morning: Kampong Glam and Little India Walk to Kampong Glam and the golden domes of the Sultan Mosque, built for Singapore's first sultan. Cover shoulders and knees. Borrow a robe at the entrance if you need one. Browse the textile shops along Arab Street, then continue to the colours and spice shops of Little India.

Afternoon: The Bumboat After a rest at the hotel, make your way to the jetty at Clarke Quay for your 40 minute bumboat cruise past Boat Quay and the Merlion to Marina Bay.

Evening: Above the Bay Walk across to Marina Bay Sands for your evening entry to the SkyPark Observation Deck, 56 storeys up, as the lights come on across the city. Watch Spectra from above, then have dinner in the Marina Bay area.

Overnight: Carlton Hotel Singapore or similar Meals: Breakfast

Day 5: A Day of Your Own

Morning: Nowhere to Be Today has nothing booked, on purpose. Sleep in, take a long breakfast and spend the morning by the pool.

Afternoon: Sentosa or Orchard Road Ride the cable car across the harbour to Sentosa with the add on below or take the MRT to the malls of Orchard Road.

Evening: Your Evening Choose your own dinner, from a rooftop bar to a hawker centre. If rain or lightning closed the SkyPark last night, this is the evening you go up instead.

Overnight: Carlton Hotel Singapore or similar Meals: Breakfast

Day 6: Singapore to Nairobi

Morning: One Last Swim Take your time over breakfast and one last swim. Check out at noon and leave your bags with the hotel.

Afternoon: Last Gifts Have lunch nearby and pick up last gifts at Raffles City or Bugis before your driver collects you in the late afternoon for Changi.

Evening: Jewel and Home Walk through Jewel, beside Terminal 1, to see the Rain Vortex pour down through the glass roof before you check in. Your flight leaves Singapore in the evening and connects in Doha for Nairobi. You touch down at JKIA early the next morning, with four nights of Singapore stories to tell.
