Most couples spend months planning the wedding and about a week planning the honeymoon. This package does that week of work for you, on an island that gives you white sand, warm water and an old town full of history, less than two hours from home.
We split the stay on purpose. One night in Stone Town gives you the lanes, the carved doors and the evening food market on the waterfront without rushing them. Then four nights in Nungwi, at the northern tip of the island, where the beach faces west and every evening ends with the sun going down over the sea.
The days are paced for newlyweds. One morning on the reef at Mnemba, one evening on a dhow with nobody else aboard, and the rest of the time left for the beach, the pool and each other. Your planner answers on WhatsApp if a flight changes or you decide to add a photoshoot or an extra night.

Stone Town night: Your first night is at Tembo House Hotel, a 4 star seafront hotel on Shangani Street in Stone Town, or a comparable hotel confirmed at booking. It has an outdoor pool and a beachfront restaurant, and breakfast is included for you.
Beach nights: The next four nights are at Amaan Beach Bungalows, a 3 star hotel on the beach at Nungwi, in a sea facing room, or a comparable beach hotel confirmed at booking. The hotel has an outdoor pool, a grill restaurant and bar, and breakfast every morning.
A dhow of your own: On day four you sail out at sunset on a private dhow with no other guests on board. It is the moment the whole honeymoon is built around.
A day on the reef: Mnemba Atoll is one of the best snorkelling spots around Zanzibar. Your trip includes the boat, snorkelling gear, a guide and the conservation fee, with a chance of seeing dolphins on the way.
No visa for Kenyans: Kenyan citizens do not need a visa to visit Tanzania, which includes Zanzibar. You travel on your passport, and your planner confirms any other entry requirement for your passport before you fly.

Flight times vary by airline and travel date. This plan follows a morning departure in both directions, and your planner confirms the exact times on your written quote before you pay.
Day 1: Nairobi to Stone Town
Morning: Wheels Up as Newlyweds Your flight to Zanzibar leaves JKIA in the morning and takes under two hours. Land at Abeid Amani Karume International Airport and meet your driver for the short drive into Stone Town.
Afternoon: Stone Town on Foot Check in at Tembo House Hotel on the seafront, then meet your guide for a walk of about two hours through the old town: the Old Fort, the carved wooden doors, Darajani Market and the old waterfront.
Evening: Dinner at the Night Market As the sun goes down over the harbour, walk along the seafront to Forodhani Gardens, where the night food market sets up every evening. Try Zanzibar pizza and grilled seafood at the stalls, then stroll back to the hotel.

Day 2: From Old Town to Open Beach
Morning: Breakfast by the Sea Take breakfast at the hotel with the harbour in front of you, then check out and meet your driver for the private drive north, about an hour and a half.
Afternoon: Beach Hours Check in to your sea facing room in Nungwi and spend the afternoon on the sand or by the pool.
Evening: Your First Nungwi Sunset Walk down to the water as the sun sets over the sea, then choose a beachfront table for your first dinner on the north coast.

Day 3: A Day on the Reef
Morning: Out to Mnemba You are collected for your snorkelling trip to Mnemba Atoll. Swim over coral in clear water with your guide, and keep watch for dolphins on the boat ride.
Afternoon: Rest and Shade Back at the hotel, spend the afternoon by the pool or napping in the shade. The reef takes more out of you than you expect.
Evening: Dinner on the Sand Pick one of Nungwi's beach restaurants for fresh fish and Swahili dishes under the stars.

Day 4: A Dhow of Your Own
Morning: Nowhere to Be Sleep in, take a late breakfast and let the day start slowly.
Afternoon: The Dhow Builders Walk along the beach to watch the dhow builders working on the sand, as they have for generations, before heading back to get ready for the evening.
Evening: Private Sunset Sail Board your private dhow in the late afternoon for a sail along the Nungwi coast as the sun goes down. There are no other guests aboard, only the crew and the two of you.

Day 5: The Last Full Day
Morning: Beach Morning A long, unhurried morning on the beach. If you added a couple photoshoot, early light on the sand is the time for it.

Evening: Last Sunset on the Island Watch your last Zanzibar sunset from the beach, then have dinner together by the water.

Day 6: Zanzibar to Nairobi
