Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara
Your adventure begins in Nairobi, where you’ll be greeted by our friendly team. After a brief introduction and some refreshments, you'll set off on a scenic drive to the Masai Mara. Along the way, you’ll have the chance to stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint, where you can take in the breathtaking views and perhaps spot some early bird species. As you continue your journey, our knowledgeable guides will share fascinating insights about the region’s geography and birdlife.

Arriving at the Masai Mara in the early afternoon, you’ll check into your comfortable accommodations. After settling in and enjoying a delicious lunch, you’ll head out for your first birding tour. The Masai Mara’s diverse ecosystems, from savannahs to wetlands, are home to an impressive variety of bird species. With the guidance of our expert birding guides, you’ll have the opportunity to spot resident and migratory birds in their natural habitat. As the sun sets, you’ll return to your lodge for dinner and a chance to relax and share your birding experiences with fellow enthusiasts.

Day 2: Full Day of Bird Watching
The second day of your Bird Watching Safari is dedicated to exploring the Masai Mara’s rich avian diversity. After an early breakfast, you’ll head out for a morning birding tour. The cool morning air is perfect for bird watching, and you’ll have the chance to see a wide range of species, from colorful bee-eaters to majestic raptors. Our guides will help you identify the birds you encounter, sharing interesting facts about their behavior and habitat.

Following the morning birding tour, you’ll return to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation time. In the afternoon, you’ll set out on another birding tour, this time exploring different habitats within the reserve. The Masai Mara’s wetlands are a haven for waterbirds, and you’ll have the chance to see species such as herons, egrets, and kingfishers. As you explore, you’ll be surrounded by the natural beauty of the Mara, from its rolling grasslands to its meandering rivers.

After a day of exciting birding adventures, you’ll return to the lodge for dinner. In the evening, you can enjoy a presentation by one of our guides, who will share more insights about the birds of the Masai Mara and the conservation efforts underway to protect them.

Day 3: Morning Birding Tour and Return to Nairobi
On the final day of your Bird Watching Safari, you’ll have one last opportunity to explore the Masai Mara’s birdlife. After an early breakfast, you’ll head out for a morning birding tour. This is your chance to spot any species you may have missed on the previous days and to soak in the tranquility of the Mara one last time.

Following the morning birding tour, you’ll return to the lodge to pack up and check out. After lunch, you’ll begin the journey back to Nairobi. As you travel, you’ll have time to reflect on the incredible birding experiences you’ve had and the new knowledge you’ve gained about Kenya’s avian wonders.
