A Diani honeymoon does not need a five-star budget to feel like one. This affordable package takes you by SGR from Nairobi to Mombasa, then by road down the coast to Diani's white sand and reef-protected lagoon, one of the most photographed beaches in East Africa. It trades a rushed flight for a relaxed rail journey through Tsavo, often with elephant and giraffe sightings from the window, and it costs a fraction of flying direct.
From there, it's a short hop to Diani. The Dongo Kundu Bypass now runs straight from Miritini to the South Coast, so there's no Likoni ferry queue to sit through.
Staying at an affordable beachfront guesthouse doesn't mean trading away the setting that makes this coast worth visiting: the same reef, the same white sand, and the same laid-back pace as the properties charging several times as much.

SGR from Nairobi to Mombasa (Miritini). A 5 to 6 hour scenic rail journey through Tsavo, Economy class as standard with a First Class upgrade available.
Road transfer, Miritini to Diani via the Dongo Kundu Bypass. Roughly 60 to 75 minutes by shared or private vehicle, about 50km, with no ferry crossing. Ask us for current transfer rates for your dates.
Half-board accommodation, 2 nights. Breakfast and dinner included, with lunch left open to explore Diani's beachfront restaurants such as Ali Barbour's Cave Restaurant and Nomad Beach Bar.

Package Itinerary
The package itinerary is as follows
3-Day Affordable Honeymoon Itinerary to Diani with Baecation Adventures from Nairobi.
Day 1 — Nairobi to Diani Morning SGR departure from Nairobi Terminus (Syokimau), arriving Mombasa Terminus (Miritini) in the afternoon. Road transfer south to Diani via the Dongo Kundu Bypass, approximately 60 to 75 minutes. Check-in, evening free to settle in.
Day 2 — Diani, Your Way Full day free on the beach. Optional add-ons available: a Wasini Island dolphin-spotting and snorkelling day trip to Kisite-Mpunguti Marine National Park, a sunset dhow cruise, a Colobus Conservation forest walk, or a private beach dinner, added only if you want them.
Day 3 — Diani to Nairobi Morning at leisure. Road transfer back to Mombasa Terminus for your return SGR departure to Nairobi.
