This package puts you on a large group joining overland truck out of Nairobi, seating up to 22 travellers, citizens, East African residents and non-residents together on the same vehicle, with camping gear carried on board and set up each night near Sekenani Gate.
It is a genuinely social, genuinely affordable way into the Mara, built for travellers who would rather spend their money on days in the reserve than on a room they will barely sleep in.

Group joining overland truck, up to 22 travellers. A shared truck, shared schedule, shared campfire, the classic overlanding format.
Open to any residency mix. Citizens, East African residents and non-residents can book the same departure and the same truck; only the park entry fee differs by residency status, everything else on board is identical for everyone.
Camping near Sekenani Gate. We've anchored this package at Kambu Mara Camp, or similar, roughly 15 minutes from Sekenani Gate, a genuine option for group camping rather than a private lodge stay.
Sleeping gear carried on the truck. Two person dome tents, mattresses, pillows and blankets travel with the truck and are set up at camp each night, not a shared dormitory or bunks inside the vehicle itself.
Honest road transfer timing. Nairobi to the Sekenani Gate area is approximately 270 km and 5 to 6 hours by road via Narok town, the same real-world timing used across our other Masai Mara packages, not an optimistic shortcut.
A real driver-guide included. The truck's professional chauffeur is included in the daily rate and runs your game drives from the same vehicle, no separate 4x4 needed.
Genuinely affordable through group economics. Splitting a 22 seat truck across the group is what makes this package cost a fraction of a private vehicle safari, the tradeoff being a fixed shared schedule rather than a private one.
Package Itinerary
The package itinerary is as follows

Day 1: Nairobi to the Mara
Pickup from a central Nairobi meeting point (exact location shared at booking)
Depart Nairobi, drive via Narok town toward Sekenani Gate (approx. 270 km, 5 to 6 hours)
Rest stop in Narok town for refreshments and a stretch
Arrival near Sekenani Gate in the early to mid afternoon
Truck crew sets up camp at Kambu Mara Camp, or similar
Afternoon game drive from the truck as it cools into evening
Return to camp, dinner around the fire, first night under canvas.
Day 2: Full Day Game Viewing
Early breakfast at camp
Morning game drive across the reserve
Return to camp for lunch and rest through the heat of the day
Afternoon game drive into the late afternoon
Return to camp for dinner and a second night under canvas.
Day 3: Final Game Drive and Return
Early breakfast, camp broken down and packed onto the truck
Final morning game drive on the way out of the reserve
Depart for Nairobi

What To Carry
Valid national ID or passport (residency status will be checked at the park gate to apply the correct entry fee)
A sleeping bag liner or light sleeping bag, even with bedding provided, camping nights get cold
Neutral-coloured, lightweight clothing (khaki, olive, brown) for game drives
A warm layer or jacket for early morning and evening drives and for around the fire at night
Sunscreen, sunglasses and a wide-brimmed hat
Comfortable closed shoes
A torch or headlamp, campsites are not lit like a lodge
