This Romantic Amboseli Flying Safari swaps the long road for a short flight, giving you two nights at Tawi Lodge and more of your time with the elephants.
The road to Amboseli takes most of a morning. The flight takes under an hour. You leave Wilson Airport just after sunrise, watch the city fall away beneath you, and land on a dusty airstrip with Amboseli spread out below, where Tawi's team is waiting to drive you to the lodge.
Tawi Lodge sits on its own private conservancy beside the national park, which means fewer vehicles and things the park itself does not allow, like guided walks and night drives. Your stay is on Tawi's package rate, so meals, shared game drives and your airstrip transfers are all taken care of.
The moment built for the two of you is breakfast in the bush. After an early drive on day two, the vehicle stops somewhere out on the conservancy, and breakfast is laid out in the open, with the plains waking up around you and, if the cloud allows, Kilimanjaro rising in the distance across the border in Tanzania. The mountain often hides, so we never promise it, but the early morning gives it the best chance.

Fly In, Not Drive In: A scheduled light aircraft flight from Wilson Airport to Amboseli airstrip, under an hour in the air instead of a morning on the road.
A Private Conservancy: Tawi Lodge sits on a conservancy beside the national park, with fewer vehicles and a quieter feel than the main park routes.
Package Stay: Two nights on Tawi's package rate, covering full board, shared game drives and your transfers between the airstrip and the lodge.
Your Cottage: You stay in one of Tawi's cottages, a private base between game drives.
Bush Breakfast: On the second morning, breakfast is served out in the open on the conservancy after your dawn drive.
Walks and Night Drives: The conservancy allows guided walks and night drives, experiences that are not permitted inside the national park.
Kilimanjaro Chances: Early mornings give you the best chance of seeing the mountain clear of cloud, though it cannot be promised.

Day 1: Into the Sky
Morning: Wilson to Amboseli Be at Wilson Airport by 6:45am for your 7:30am flight south. Below you, Nairobi gives way to open plains and, on a clear morning, the shape of Kilimanjaro ahead. Tawi's team meets you at Amboseli airstrip and drives you to the lodge.
Afternoon: First Game Drive Settle into your cottage and have lunch at the lodge, then head out on a shared game drive as the elephant herds move between the plains and the swamps.
Evening: Dinner at Tawi Dinner at the lodge, with the quiet of the conservancy around you.
Day 2: Breakfast in the Wild
Morning: Dawn Drive and Bush Breakfast Out early, when the light is soft and Kilimanjaro has its best chance of showing. The drive ends somewhere out on the conservancy, where breakfast is laid out for the two of you in the open.
Afternoon: Rest, Then the Park A slow middle of the day at the lodge, then an afternoon game drive into Amboseli National Park, following the elephants back to the water.
Evening: Your Last Night Dinner at the lodge. If you add a night drive, this is when the conservancy's nocturnal animals come out.
Day 3: Back to the City
Morning: The Short Flight Home Breakfast at the lodge, then a transfer to the airstrip for the morning flight back to Wilson Airport.
Afternoon: Home Before Lunch You are back in Nairobi by late morning, with the rest of the day free.
Evening: At Your Own Pace An evening at home, with photos to sort and a trip that took one morning to reach.
