This 3-day, 2-night Samburu Mid-Range Safari is your gateway to this extraordinary world. You travel from Nairobi in a comfortable 4WD safari van provided in partnership with our sister company BAMM Tours — one of Kenya's most trusted safari operators — with a professional guide who knows Samburu's secrets and stories. Your lodge sits on the banks of the Ewaso Ng'iro, and every morning begins with the sound of elephants crossing the river below.
Day two belongs entirely to Samburu — two game drives that take you deep into the reserve, and a visit to a Samburu manyatta where you are welcomed into a community whose traditions, beadwork, and warrior culture have remained unchanged for generations. This is not a performance. It is a living culture, and it is one of the most moving things you will experience together.

The package itinerary is as follows
3 Days 2 Nights — Samburu Mid-Range Safari with Baecation Adventures Kenya
Day 1: Nairobi to Samburu — Into the Wild North
Your Baecation Adventures driver and professional safari guide picks you up from your Nairobi location early morning in a comfortable 4WD safari van.
Depart Nairobi heading north through the Mount Kenya Region — the landscape opening up dramatically as the city falls away behind you.
Brief stop at the equator for photos — you are crossing into the northern hemisphere together.
Arrive at Samburu National Reserve in the early afternoon — approximately 5 to 6 hours from Nairobi.
Check in at your mid-range lodge on the banks of the Ewaso Ng'iro River.
Afternoon game drive inside the reserve — your first encounter with the Samburu Special Five: the reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, and gerenuk.
Return to lodge for sundowner drinks by the river.
Full board dinner at the lodge.

Day 2: Full Day Safari & Samburu Cultural Experience
Early morning wake-up call — sunrise over the Ewaso Ng'iro is not something you sleep through.
Full breakfast at the lodge.
Morning game drive — the best time for wildlife as predators are still active and the light is golden and perfect for photography.
Return to lodge for lunch.
Afternoon: guided visit to a traditional Samburu manyatta — meet the community, learn about Samburu warrior traditions, watch the beadwork being made, and understand a culture that has thrived in this harsh landscape for centuries.
Late afternoon game drive as the sun begins its descent.
Return to lodge as darkness settles over the reserve — listen to the sounds of the African night over dinner.
Full board dinner at the lodge.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive & Return to Nairobi
Early morning game drive — one final hour with Samburu's wildlife at dawn.
Return to lodge for a full breakfast.
Check out and begin the road journey back to Nairobi.
Scenic drive south through Isiolo and the Mount Kenya foothills.
Arrive back in Nairobi in the late afternoon.
Drop-off at your Nairobi location.
Note: Lunch is not included on Day 3. A brief stop for lunch is made en route at own account.
